The E3 2018 (Electronic Entertainment Expo 2018) that was held at The Los Angeles Convention Center this year, announced at the show new virtual reality (VR) games.
The greatest gaming show of the year, where hardware manufacturers, software developers, and publishers from the video game industry meet up to introduce new and up and coming products to the attendees, primarily retailers and members of the video game press. PC-based systems like Windows Mixed Reality (WMR), HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, and PlayStation VR (PSVR) gave us what to look forward to in the world of VR.
One of the PSVR games from PlayStation 4 is Astro Bot Rescue Mission. Your controller is visible in VR and becomes the host to a range of cool weapons depending on the situation you are in.
Other PlayStation virtual reality games debuted were Ghost Giant and Trover Saves the Universe.
Announced for the Oculus Rift, Stormland, due out in 2019, could be the biggest and coolest VR game to date. Stormland is an open-world game that puts players physically in the body of an android whose day-to-day existence involves gardening on a remote alien planet. It will feature both a single-player and a multiplayer mode that lets players explore together.
One of the trends that has dominated E3 over the last few years has been virtual reality. E3 2018 was full of fantastic game reveals that caught people’s attention and were a reminder that VR is not only still here, it’s redefining how we play video games.
