The VR Park, a virtual reality arcade, is the newest addition to a sports and recreation center called Ninja Lounge.
Now you can experience advanced technology in a recreation center that delivers a 360-degree encounter like no other without having to spend thousands of dollars on virtual reality equipment.
At 13,000 plus square foot, Virtual Reality Park is all about escaping reality and having fun. It holds over 50 games. Space blaster, Teleporter, 5D Cinema, Exo 360, Vr skiing, Vr car race, to name just a few. It costs $45 for an hour of play except for the best attraction of them all called “The Arena” which is the most expensive game. You have extra equipment placed on your hands and legs which lets you see yourself and your opponent inside the game and are able to communicate with each.
“One of the things we pride ourselves on in this park is there is a lot of interaction and physical movement,” Ninja Lounge owner Malka Livingston says. “You get to really feel like you’re doing something, like jumping off a cliff. I had trouble with the idea of doing video games initially because youth today are not [active] enough, but this is totally different. It’s almost like going to a dream world.”
Livingston says. “Every quarter, we plan on introducing new games. We’ve started talking about introducing educational programs for astronomy, chemistry, and anatomy — things that make learning fun and interactive.
VR Park is located at Ninja Lounge, 14401 NE 20th Lane, North Miami. Open Monday through Friday from 3pm-8pm and Saturday and Sunday from 10am-10pm.
